ICAZ to host a Forecasting and Budgeting Techniques Seminar


THE Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe will host a conference on Forecasting and Budgeting Techniques on the 8th of November 2011 at Holiday Inn in Harare.

In a statement, ICAZ Chief Executive Officer Matts Kunaka said the seminar will focus on new trends in forecasting and budgetary control as well as rolling forecast budgets.

“It will enable the participant to discover on how to streamline the budgeting process to save valuable time and resources” he said.

Presently, organizations are increasingly appreciating the importance of accurate and efficient budgeting techniques as a way of enhancing organizational success.

It is however imperative to note that traditional techniques are still widely used, but for many, there are becoming out of sync with contemporary requirements hence the need to embrace Forecasting and Budgeting Techniques.

Stanbic Bank Senior Finance Manager Tafadzwa Mahachi will be the sole presenter while Tetrad Finance Executive Sevious Mushosho will be facilitating the seminar

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe is one of the major accounting bodies in Africa and is a full member of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and Central, Southern African Federation of Accountants (ECSAFA) as well as the newly established Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA).

ICAZ aims to enhance the International standing and recognition of the qualification Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe), for the benefit of its members, to support them in providing quality services in the public interest

The institute also seeks to be the pre-eminent professional body in the development and promotion of accountancy, assurance and advisory services, business and good governance practices.

Professionals, who practice as Auditors, Accountants, Tax Advisors, Directors, Analysts and Finance personnel as well as interested individuals and other stakeholder are encouraged to attend.
